This is one of my first professional covers, so I wanted to make sure it was clear and exciting. The challenges for me here were making sure there was a sense of dynamism while making sure there was room for the title text. Dimitri accidentally alerts the boar and gives himself away. This page sequence was successful to me in its pacing. He leaps across the tree branches and misses his first two throws. The use of diagonals in highlighting the action and reading flow was successful, with a particular highlight being on the sequence in the middle panel. The village guard stand vigilant at the gates before a fireball destroys a magic monument that had been protecting the village. I am proud of the second and fourth panels in particular. The contrast of the peaceful moment in the village only to be followed by an intense blast are a highlight for me. This page is my favorite out of the whole book because there's so much energy in each moment. The soldiers charging out of the woods and the door being rammed open are standouts because their visuals add a hectic and energetic feel to the moment. This page was successful to me in establishing Eclipse as the big threat even as an army tumbles through the gates. He towers over the other soldiers and the bold lines help him stand out even further.
